She’s one of the most grounded human beings I know. We talk about the show, the characters, life, movies, politics. such a brutal season… And what I love the most about Z is she’s able to go to those dark places and then as soon as I call cut, she’s hanging out behind the monitor, eating Cheesecake Factory and cracking jokes. Still, that doesn't stop her from also being one of the most grounded and personable workers on set: So throughout the first year of Euphoria, we spent a lot of time trying to break down those barriers. She’s very protective, rightfully so… And if she doesn’t nail something or feel it on take one, she has a tendency to get very self-critical, which only further inhibits the release of emotion. According to the show's creator, Sam Levinson, she was initially really hard on herself as she focused on the newer role: Zendaya's role in Euphoria encompasses a completely different style of acting from her former Disney star days. If even a shred of the way we feel about each other in real life translates to the screen, then I think we've got lightning in a bottle. We really do genuinely all love each other so much. I think what definitely helped, for starters, is that Hilary is - as a producer and an actor, and is number one on the call sheet - made a very immediate effort to level the playing field… to not feel like there was any sense of hierarchy, to feel like we were all equals… It's crazy. The former Disney actress stars on the show Younger and even dipped her toe back into the music world with her 2015. You can't fake that chemistry… It's shocking that we all have such good, organic real chemistry because the only person that I'd met prior to showing up at my first day of work was Hilary… Click through to see these 21st century child stars all grown up and hot. ….The only thing that matters, the thing that has to work, in a sitcom, is you have to be able to believe that the people you are watching are actually all getting along… It's a group of friends that you just love to have in your living room, and you can't fake it. While her acting career dipped post-teen career, Hilary returned to form with the series Younger, and has also taken the lead in the upcoming How I Met Your Mother spin-off, How I Met Your Father.Ī Lizzie McGuire reboot was in the works at Disney Plus, but has been abandoned due to creative differences between the channel and the writers.Despite Hilary Duff becoming a well-known star with her show Lizzie McGuire, Chris Lowell noted how important it was for her to make sure they were all on an equal playing field for How I Met Your Father: One of the biggest Disney stars of the noughties, Hilary Duff became a teen icon thanks to her role as Lizzie McGuire, who she played for 65 episodes and a movie - and we're forever thankful for "This Is What Dreams Are Made Of".Īfter a role in a Disney Channel Original Movie, Cadet Kelly, Hilary branched out and starred in teen classics like A Cinderella Story and Cheaper By The Dozen before embarking on a successful pop career - most famously providing the theme song for Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, "Come Clean". Hilary Duff autographs one of her " The Lizzie Mcguire Movie" posters at the The Disney Store Fifth Avenue in New York City, New York. Her third single "Good 4 U" has been just as successful, debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and her debut album Sour broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album. The song, rumoured to be about her alleged split from Joshua, was a massive hit, reaching number one all over the globe, including the US, and breaking multiple Spotify records. Olivia was rumoured to be dating her co-star Joshua Bassett - something the whole world, not just Disney fans, learned about when Olivia dropped her debut solo single "Drivers License" in January. In 2016, Olivia landed a role on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark, before being cast in the fantastically titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series - a spin-off of the HSM franchise - as Nini Salazar-Roberts. The latest Disney star to go stratospheric is Olivia Rodrigo. If I never looked at the speed tests that the app auto runs, I would never notice anything wrong. The Eero is amazing in that nothing ever drops connection, or buffers. So why is the wired test in the app so much slower than those three wired tests? We then use a laptop connected to the back of the Eero base via Ethernet, everything is good. They measure speed speed via a wired connection to the back of the Eero base, everything is good. They measure the speed at the ONT, everything is good. I have had my ISP over on a number of occasions thinking it was them. The download speeds are now always in the 100’s and upload is now usually 135. My last 30 speed tests in the Eero app show only two times I was getting close to what I am paying for. Now I rarely ever get close to ISP speeds. Then after say 3 months of that consistency, the auto speed test would show say 5 days out of the week with speeds close, the the other two days would show much slower speeds, say around 150down/135up. In the first few months of having the Eero, the automatic speed test in the Eero app would show speeds very close (sometimes slightly greater) than the speed I am paying for. I typically have 30+ devices connected wirelessly, nothing is ever connected via a wired connection. I have my Eero base directly connected to the ONT via Ethernet, nothing in between. My ISP is Cincinnati Bell FiOptics with fiber to the home, 500down/200up. I have an Eero 2nd Gen setup with one base and two Beacons. This has been a source of frustration for me also. I like the beauty, simplicity, stability and support that eero seems to provide. Orbi has just announced new hardware that supports WiFi 6 but I don't want to go back. Hopefully the new hardware will support WiFi 6 and have a more robust radio backhaul. I'm looking forward to Eero introducing new hardware that will be able to keep up with gigabit internet wirelessly without the need for a wired backhaul. I'd be in the middle of watching a movie and it would suddenly drop the connection. The worst offender was my AppleTV running a Plex client. My devices would constantly drop connection. I know firsthand because I just switched from Orbi to Eero because of the shoddy firmware / connection issues. The only wireless mesh system that I know of that will be able to wirelessly transmit anything close to your internet speed would be the Orbi but they are known to have connection issues and are very slow to update their firmware to fix the issues. Wired speeds from Eero will give you the gigabit speeds that you're paying for. Eero is fantastic for internet speeds of 200 Mbps or below for wireless transmission speeds. If it matters, this is the one I've purchased: eero - Pro Mesh WiFi System (3 eeros), 2nd Generation - White I've also tried messing with all of the network setting for the eero router as well and nothing seems to push 800+ mbps like the spectrum router, under the same conditions, same computer I'm testing on etc. Eero is now also having the same issue, its only getting 400+ mbps when the charter one is still doing 800+. I then figured it was just a setting with their router so I got rid of that and went with eero. I spent an hour with their support trying every setting change possible, SSID, steering, etc etc. I started with Amplifi which worked, but had lots of dropping issues and the router would only ever get 300+ mbps right next to the router, where as the spectrum one was still getting 800+. However, I soon realized that the router was not working in different corners of the house due to being too far from the router, so that brought me to upgrading to a new router with mesh points. Next to the router they gave me, I was getting 800+ mbps consistently. I recently moved to a new home and got setup with charter spectrum 1 gigabit internet. From experience, the feature I think is unique is the automatic one click processing. Notice how it doesn't compare itself to other software, it just promotes itself. Most hate it because it tries too hard to sell itself when other free open source tools also exist and do the same. I also read on a few other forums users' opinions of jpegmini. Extremely handy! I only wish it showed more of the tool's internal options. I used to have a script for compressing PNGs with PNGOUT but now RIOT allows to process them in batch. I tried the tool the user posted on this thread but it produced some weird results, on a few images it cropped the picture by a few pixels. Messing with the Chroma and Luma channels is something nearly every jpeg compressing tool does and I'd like to know which one I'm using to compare their features. I liked RIOT very much but I wish it showed which external tools it uses besides the PNG ones. Hopefully being open source means others will step up with with cool new ideas. I'm sure there are a ton of optimizations to be made, but to be totally honest my math and C programming skills are not the best. if it's a picture of clouds then lower the quality slightly and if it's an intricate building then increase the quality a bit. One thing I would like to add is some measure of overall image complexity, e.g. what's the average pixel value, how do the pixels vary, what's the relationship between the original variance and the reference block variance, etc. The algorithm I use is SSIM, which works by measuring relationships between pixels in 8x8 blocks, e.g. I haven't read the patents (and won't due to possibly tainting my own code with information from them). JPEGmini actually uses some custom patented algorithm for perceived image quality. That's much better than throwing away too much. Luckily it errs on the side of caution and throws away less data than JPEGmini. I think the groups of solid colors are problematic. Thanks! Feel free to contribute the bat file if you think it'll be useful for others. Most blanco tequilas have a recognizably citrusy flavor, which can add a zing to any cocktail or dish. As the name suggests, blanco tequila is the clearest in color and goes well in mixed drinks or as a complement to traditional Mexican recipes. Blanco (sometimes called "silver") is un-aged tequila, and is usually bottled soon after it's distilled. The difference is all in the aging process. What are the different types of tequila? If you purchased this commercially, your ready-to-drink Margarita should be shelf-stable, meaning you can keep it on a shelf until it's ready to drink. How do you properly store ready-to-drink Margaritas? For the record, tequila needs to be from a specific region to be called a tequila, so if it has that title, you know it did originate in Mexico. Some producers rely on neutral grain spirits while others work with tequila distilleries, but unless otherwise disclosed, all of these products have real tequila. Your body will thank you the next day.įAQs Do ready-to-drink Margaritas have real tequila added? Look for options that lean on agave or cane sugar to sweeten, rather than fake sweeteners. But the best options balance out the sugar with natural flavors. Many cocktail fans sway away from canned options as they can be cloyingly sweet. Just how tipsy are you looking to get at the beach? The ABV of ready-to-drink Margaritas can vary wildly, from a mere 4 percent to a knee-buckling 30 percent. Citric acid can help this-it’s a compound found in lemons that can be added to cocktails to retain that freshness of citrus for far longer. Citrus goes badly or tastes tinny if not stored correctly. If your canned cocktail doesn’t taste fresh, citrus likely is to blame. What to Look for in a Ready-To-Drink Margarita Citrus If you prefer to build out the drink yourself, Hella Cocktail Co’s ( view at Amazon) offerings pack in all the ingredients with none of the tequila, so you can use your favorite bottle (or sub out a non-alcoholic spirit). Crafthouse Cocktails ( view at Drizly) and Cutwater Spirits (view at Total Wine) both do an excellent job of mimicking bartender-concocted flavors desired in a Margarita and packaging them into an easy-to-drink canned format. When I uncovered it and opened the hood a mouse promptly asked me what the f*ck I was doing there at the same time I was asking him that exact question. I also frequently sprayed peppermint critter repellent under and around the Taco along with spraying down the truck cover. Rat poison will end up killing snakes, owls, coyotes, bobcats, hawks. Here in the desert, everything that dies gets eaten. They ate through the wires UNDER the intake manifold. Pack Rats did $5000 of damage to my previous FJ Cruiser. I have not tried moth balls - using them that way is an EPA violation. Peppermint spray - they poop on it the day after I spray. Snap traps baited with crackers, peanut butter, fruit, etc - never caught one. Dryer sheets - they use it for nesting material. Assistive Touch has a way to create custom gestures, so with a little work, mice should be able to perform most of the tricks that our hands can on iPads.I am convinced that there is no one answer for rodents. I'm also optimistic that Apple's pro users can find more power in this feature. Sure, it didn't flow beautifully immediately, but I didn't expect the fluidity of the Apple Pencil for a feature that's hidden so deep in iPadOS. I know Apple isn't telling me to use a mouse with the iPad, but I dig how it works so far. MORE: How to Install the iPadOS 13 beta on your iPad Selecting text was a similar process, where it took me a couple of tries to figure out how to select a word and then how much vertical movement it would take to select multiple lines of text. Once it did that little movement, gaining a bubble around the words Disney Plus on a Tom's Guide page, I was able to drag that link to the right side of my screen to create a split view interface. Quickly, though, I realized that if I clicked and held on a link, it animated as if I was pressing a button. At first, I wondered if it didn't work, as my cursor was just selecting text I clicked on, and not pulling it out like dragging an icon. Up next, I wanted to see how well the virtual cursor could play with Apple's latest multitasking trick - split-screen view to get two windows for the same app. It's all very intuitive and neat - and the kind of menu you're probably familiar with if you've ever broken the Home button on an iPhone. The Assistive Touch menu allowed me to mouse over buttons for Home, Notifications and Control Center, as well as get a Devices option with shortcuts to adjust volume as well as lock and rotate the screen. I then spent a moment trying to figure out how to switch apps without touching the screen, before seeing the AssistiveTouch icon (a white home button that floats on screen) that I could tap to bring up a series of options. The first thing I noticed is that the on-screen cursor - which is a bit blobby compared to a normal mouse icon, but not too distracting - was very sensitive to movement, and looked a bit jumpy as I navigated around the iPad Settings app. MORE: 6 Reasons You'll Want iOS 13 on Your iPhone Instantly, a dark circular cursor appeared on my screen, as if a phantom digit was hovering. There is also an Oliver 1/2 inch slicer now on ebay for $895. Both Berkel and Oliver have easily replaceable blades and the blades are not too expensive and do last a long time. There is a used Berkel on ebay for $449.00, runs on household current. Restaurant suppliers don't/won't fix them or stock parts to fix them, Bakery Suppliers will. If you buy used, buy it from a Bakery Supplier, NOT a Restaurant supplier or auction house. These are mechanical devices and rely on mechanical movement and lots of bearings and bushings. If you don't want to bite the bullet and get a slicer, a bread knife and elbow grease are about your only option. Beleive it or not, the crust on bread is very hard on knife edges and dulls them quickly, and once you cut throught the crust, the blade grabs the soft sticky interior and mushes it up. BUT you still have to turn the crank.ĭo NOT use a meat slicer. There are manual European style rotary slicers for bread-resembles a meat slicer but with a circular serrated blade. Many Christmases ago, I gave a friend who had just begun playing with a bread machine a similar bread cutting guide that was built into a storage box, so the bread could be stored in the box and cut using the guide. It is possible I saw it on ebay, however I think it was on an artisan woodworker's site. It was one of the bread cutting boards with a slotted base, through which the crumbs would fall and the slotted side guides folded down into the base. I have seen a cutting board with adjustable guides in the past but I can't find the link at this time. Most bread cutting guides now available are only sized for regular-sized loaves, baguettes and etc., like this one: While the blade is not long enough to cut across larger boules when laid flat, they can easily be cut with the boule turned up onto a side. It had a few years worth of veg oil build up, but a lil elbow grease and this thing was cleaned up and working like new! Heck, if I didn't like it, I could sell it for twice what I paid for it! I love this thing and can't wait to slice up some sausage, pepperoni, salami etc! One thing I have to say about cleaning aluminum though. He needed room in his small apartment and had to get rid of this heavy appliance. I finally found a Craigslist add from a guy who's family sandwich shop closed a couple years ago and the only thing he kept was a Berkel 827a meat slicer. I've been wanting a professional grade meat slicer for years after hearing all of the nightmares about the plastic cheap jobs out there. |
